Сергей Ченнык стоит у истоков создания Таврического Центра Военной Истории (ТЦВИ) – неправительственной, неполитической, невоенизированной официально действующей общественной организации. Ставящей перед собой цели изучения военной истории ее членами. Поддержку научных изысканий в этой области, борьбу с фальсификацией истории, а также пропаганду патриотизма и гражданского самосознания. Центр объединяет не только профессиональных ученных военных историков, но и любителей. Тех, кто занимается проблемами военной истории или по каким либо причинам заинтересовавшихся ими. ТЦВИ – не закрытое объединение и там всегда рады новым членам. Всегда радушно помогают новичкам влиться в ряды увлекающихся военной историей.<br />

Центр впервые в Крыму в 2008 г. провел военно-историческую реконструкцию [[Альминское сражение|Альминского сражения]]. Доказал всю успешность и перспективность этого направления работы, положительно влияющей на имидж полуострова как крупнейшего центра военно-исторического туризма. Это объединение единомышленников, которые хотя и разбросаны по всему земному шару, но есть то, общее, что сплотило и продолжает сплачивать, нас – военная история Крыма.<br />

В журнале мыт публикуем материалы, освещающие неизвестные страницы различных войны. Значительное место уделяем описаниям памятников, полей сражений, биографиям. Редакция планирует систематически печатает на страницах журнала материалы по униформологии, наградам, вооружению и технике, истории воинских частей и формирования различных стран, которые так или иначе связаны с Крымом. Ведь исторический туризм – одно из главных направлений журнала. Мы стараемся рассказывать о крымских военно-исторических клубах, как не парадоксально, известных более за рубежом, чем у себя на родине. А ведь проводимые ими, или с их участием, фестивали, столь популярные в Европе и Америке, сделают Крым более привлекательным.
